Over synthed, too much reverb and quite frankly not the right subject matter for the angry vocals!

 

Within The Ruins come across as wanting to pull off the next Metallica uber cover, but it’s just not working for them- yes this song has been made relevant again, yes it has an awesome riff and yes it could go heavier and louder very well.  However, this is quite simply a song that will not be able to step out of the classic metal genre this much!

 

The main riff in this cover gives a glimmer of hope, but even then the strange pauses in the rock out leave this listener perplexed and frustrated!

 

My rating for this is a poor 1/5- now you decide
